WATSON – Denham Springs defeated District 4-5A opponent Live Oak 9-1 on Tuesday behind a dominant performance from Natalie Parker.
ZACHARY – The Denham Springs Lady Jackets got a break-out offensive performance from a youngster and another dominating performance from Natalie Parker in the circle en route to a 9-0 District 4-5A win Thursday over Zachary.
WALKER – What began under a dark, threatening sky featuring a first-inning rain, seemingly cleared up for Walker High with one mighty swing of the bat.
WATSON – For 6 ½ innings, it felt like Live Oak’s game against Central District 4-5A contest was emblematic of their uneven start to the season. The Lady Eagles fought hard, but tough luck and mistakes proved to be their undoing.
DENHAM SPRINGS – Denham Springs’ softball team had lost four straight games to Northshore going into Monday’s contest at North Park.

Central navigated the District 4-5A season unscathed, while Live Oak managed to create some late-season momentum in league play. As a result of their strong district performances, the Lady Wildcats and Eagles claimed the largest share of the spots on the 2018 All-District 4-5A team.
For the first time in three years, Denham Springs High is still alive after the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs.
CENTRAL – If the 1st inning wasn’t eye-opening enough on Tuesday, Central was reminded again throughout the first 4 innings of a Class 5A state playoff opener with Slidell.
PONCHATOULA -- Live Oak’s season ended Tuesday when the Eagles came up on the wrong side of a 7th-inning rally. Ponchatoula stormed back with three runs in their final at-bat to top Live Oak in a Class 5A bi-district playoff game.
ZACHARY -- Ashley Lopez and Carsyn Martel came through with clutch two-run doubles in consecutive innings to help Zachary rally past U-High for a 7-3 victory on Tuesday.
DENHAM SPRINGS -- Despite a late-game rally, errors cost Denham Springs High in a 7-4 loss to Destrehan in a late-season non-district game on Monday.
WATSON -- Thursday was Senior Night for Live Oak and it was the seniors being honored that powered the Eagles to a 12-2 victory over Zachary.
DENHAM SPRINGS -- Denham Spring High broke a seven-game losing streak with a resounding 5-0 victory over Walker on Friday.
RESERVE – Kailey Chachere delivered a clutch two-out single to score Haleigh Pourciau in the top of the 7th inning and Pourciau worked around a one-out error in the bottom of the inning as Walker edged Riverside Academy 3-2 on Tuesday.
ZACHARY – Carley Fudge and Ashley Lopez produced four hits apiece and four Zachary hitters drove in 2 or more runs as the Lady Broncos raced past Denham Springs High 14-6 on Tuesday.
WATSON -- Live Oak held on to a 5-4 win over Albany on Saturday afternoon to close out the Live Oak Tournament.
