One finish line arrives for boys basketball teams around the state on Friday, with many poised to re-start things next week when the playoffs begin.
WATSON – Live Oak made quick and short work of Belaire on Friday, wrapping up the 2017-18 regular season with a 47-25 victory.

BATON ROUGE -- Scotlandville remained perfect on the season with a 55-12 near-domination of Belaire on Friday.
CENTRAL -- After a tough 1-3 start to the season that included being outscored 142-59, Central was able to exercise some frustration Friday in a 57-12 blowout against Belaire.
DENHAM SPRINGS -- Denham Springs High improved to 3-1 this season following a 45-6 beatdown of Belaire Friday night in the District 4-5A opener for both teams.
Denham Springs High’s football season has already set up as a promising season of firsts and new experiences for most of the players who create the core group of the varsity roster.
BATON ROUGE -- Belaire hosts Brusly in a non-district game on Friday before wading into a district 4-5A schedule on Sept. 22 at Denham Springs High.
